Inventory of cities was undertaken, this was followed by preparation of Climate Resilient City Action Plan (CRCAP). One of the key findings of these assessments was the use thermal electricity consumption is one of the major contributors to GHG emissions of the ULBs. With an objective to reduce the energy expenditure of RMC along with associated carbon emissions, development of a Solar Power plant is proposed to meet the corporation’s own energy needs by transitioning to a cleaner source of energy.
