Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and ICLEI South Asia organized a session on City Climate Change Action Planning at the recently concluded Asia-Pacific Forum on Urban Resilience and Adaptation (RCAP 2017) in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam on the 7th of December, 2017.
CapaCITIES E-rickshaws used at the Rajasthan Digi Fest 2017
This was to mark the succession to the string of IT festivals that the state government of Rajasthan has been hosting. E-rickshaws from CapaCITIES’ project, funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, were used as mode of conveyance for the government officials as well as participants in the MLSU university campus.
Transport Experts Visit Siliguri
A team comprising of Mr. Nicholas Muhlich (from SNZ, the identified International expert firm for transport) and the national expert for transport study in Siliguri, Mr. Utpal Deka conducting the initial visit to the city of Siliguri from 19- 24 November 2017. The experts were accompanied by Dr. Monalisa Sen, City Coach, Siliguri, Mr. Souhardhya Chakraborty, City Associate, Siliguri and Mr. Vijau Saini, Senior Project Officer.
Quantification and Characterization of Municipal Solid Waste conducted in Rajkot
In order to support the city in its larger objective of sustainable waste management, with a focus on the reduction of GHG emissions from waste disposal, ICLEI South Asia, under the CapaCITIES project, supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) conducted quantification and characterization of municipal solid waste generated in three zones of the city.
